Hi everyone,
This guide will be covering basic info regarding arena in hearthstone.
In hearthstone you have the following modes that you can play -
-Ranked
-vs AI
-Friendlies
-Adventure bosses
-Arena
To play arena you require 150 gold to enter it. Once you enter arena you are given a choice of three heroes. From these three heroes you get to select one. On selection you are shown three cards to select from. Once you click on a card it gets added to your deck on the right hand side and you are shown another set of three cards. You go on doing this until you have the allowed 30 cards in your deck. Once your deck is ready and you hit play you are matched up against a same win-lose record opponent (or closest to it ) . If you win the key on display would change. If you lose a strike is added to your arena session. Arena ends when you hit three losses, get 12 wins or if you simply retire. On the basis of your wins you are given arena rewards. The rewards always have one 1 card pack. Other rewards include dust, gold or cards.
For a breakdown of possible rewards please refer the table below.

If you observe there are rewards even if you have zero wins. And that if you hit three wins you are more or less able to recover your 150 gold in form of card pack and gold/dust. Also if you hit 6-7 wins you are able to gain 150 gold other than the cards packs which already apply.
So first aim while playing arena should always be hitting 3 wins , and then to try for 6. Any more wins helps you improve from where you started.
So this was a small guide to basic info regarding hearthstone. Coming up is a guide regarding card selection and deck building.
